The uplong chain
Every balance change on uplong is a transaction in a block, and every block is public.
Blocks
- A new block every half second.
- Each block contains, in order: the oracle price update, any liquidations at that price, credited deposits, then user transactions in the order they arrived.
- Every block points to the one before it by its hash, and records a state root: a fingerprint of every balance and position after the block.
- Every transaction is signed for one chain (its chain id), so its signature can’t be replayed on another chain.
Verifying
Replaying the blocks from the first one reproduces every balance, position, and payout, and must reach the same state roots. All blocks and transactions are available from the API.
The explorer
The explorer shows the latest activity, every block, and every account’s trades, profit, payouts, and withdrawals.
Who runs it
uplong operates the chain’s single sequencer: it orders transactions into blocks. Anyone can check the result, but the operator decides the order within a block.
