$LONG for losses
Losing a trade earns $LONG. 790 million of it goes to the traders behind the first $10 million lost.
How it works
- Every loss earns 79 $LONG per dollar: the losing part of a closed position, or the whole margin of a liquidated one.
- It’s credited the moment the position closes or is liquidated, in the same block.
- The rate is the same for everyone and every dollar, until the first $10,000,000 of losses across all traders. That’s 790,000,000 $LONG, 79% of the 1 billion supply. After that, losses earn no more $LONG.
- Winning trades don’t earn $LONG.
Example
You open a 1000x long with 25 USDC and it’s liquidated: you earn 25 × 79 = 1,975 $LONG. Close a position 4 USDC down instead, and you earn 316 $LONG.
Where to see it
- The trade page’s account panel shows $LONG to claim under Account equity (click to expand); your history shows what each loss earned.
- Your page in the explorer shows your total, and the stats page shows how much of the 790 million has been earned so far.
Claiming your $LONG
- Open Withdraw and pick the $LONG tab. It shows what you’ve earned, what you’ve already claimed, and what a claim sends now.
- Click Claim and sign with your wallet. A claim costs a flat 1 USDC, taken from your uplong balance, and sends everything you haven’t claimed yet.
- Once the $LONG token is live, uplong sends the $LONG to your connected wallet on Solana from its on-chain vault and pays the network fees. Until then, claims are recorded on the uplong chain and paid out when it launches. You can claim as often as you like; each claim pays the fee once.
$LONG is earned by losing money. Don’t trade to earn it: at 1000x, losses come fast, and $LONG’s price isn’t guaranteed.
